Omelchenko Taras Mykolayovych – MD, professor at the Traumatology and Orthopedics Department of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, orthopedic and trauma surgeon of the highest category
Omelchenko T.M., born on 02.03.1978, had graduated with honors from O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University in 2002, and in 2004 he got a specialist and master’s degree in traumatology and orthopedics.
In 2007, he finished his post-graduate course at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University and presented a dissertation for a degree of Ph.D. in medicine «Prevention and Treatment of Ankle Post-Traumatic Arthrosis».
In 2014, he has been awarded the academic rank of associate professor.
In 2019, he finished his doctor’s course at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University and in 2020, represented his MD dissertation “Surgical Treatment of Patients with the Consequences of Ankle-Shin Joint (Experimental clinical research)”. Since 202, he works as a professor at Traumatology and Orthopedic Department at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University.
In 2021, he has been awarded a scientific degree as a professor.
Omelchenko T.M. is a person in charge of the Department’s scientific activities, he lectures and carries our workshops for students, doctors, interns, clinical residents, masters, and postgraduates.

Omelchenko T.M. is a valid member of the Pan-Ukrainian Social Entity “Ukrainian Association of Orthopedists-Traumatologists” and the international orthopedic society SICOT (Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie / International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology)
He has over 130 publications, 16 patents of Ukraine, 14 of them – for useful models, and 2 inventions.
