On November 27, 2021, a science-to-practice conference “Topical Issues of Foot Surgery and Other Current Matters in Orthopedics and Traumatology”, organized by SI “The Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics by NAMSU”, SE “Association of Traumatologists and Orthopedists of Ukraine”, Ukrainian Medical Education Society, “Zaslavskyi” editor’s house.
Director of the SI “The Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, NAMS of Ukraine”, professor Y.V. Poliachenko, the President of Pan-Ukrainian Social Entity “Association of Traumatologists-Orthopedists of Ukraine”, corr.-member of NAMS of Ukraine, professor S.S. Strafun expressed their greetings to the participants.
The conference had over 1500 registered participants. Lectures and presentations were devoted to surgical treatment of traumas and their consequences around the foot and ankle joints, important matters of pediatric orthopedics, unresolved and disputable matters of modern systems for foot functions assessment. The speakers were from the Department for Foot Pathology and two pediatric orthopedics departments of the SI «The Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, NAMS of Ukraine», pediatric surgery department and the department of traumatology and orthopedics of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, scholars and practicing physicians from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv. The conference finished with a discussion participated by professors Zazirnyu I.M., Liabakh A.P., and others.
